Molly S. McKean

Molly S. McKeanMarie S. McKean (“Molly”) is an attorney admitted to practice in the State of New Hampshire. She has practiced law since 2000, with a focus on employment law and workplace issues. She has worked with Employment Practices Group since 2007. Prior to working with Employment Practices Group, Molly worked for a medium-sized law firm in Concord, New Hampshire as a civil litigator and advisor regarding employment matters representing individuals, private sector employers and municipalities throughout New Hampshire.

Molly provides consultation and guidance on employment law and human resources issues; conducts investigations into alleged harassment and misconduct; drafts policies, procedures and handbooks; trains employers on harassment and other workplace issues; defends employers and management representatives before state and federal administrative agencies; and otherwise assists and counsels employers on harassment, discrimination, ADA, FMLA, wage/hour, diversity, terminations, reasonable accommodations and other workplace issues. She also represents individuals in matters involving disability accommodation, performance issues, separation from employment, harassment charges, and other workplace matters.

Molly has appeared on panels for various continuing legal education programs, including the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Insurance Defense program and the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Practical Skills for New Admittees on employment law. Molly has authored several articles and assisted in drafting continuing legal education materials for Employment Practices Group. In addition, she authored the New Hampshire chapter of the Defense Research Institute’s State-by-State Employment Law Compendium in 2005.

Molly is currently President of the Merrimack County (New Hampshire) Bar Association. She co-founded and co-chaired the New Hampshire Supreme Court’s Pro Bono Appellate Panel and has appeared before the New Hampshire Supreme Court as an advocate in several reported cases.

Molly attended Franklin Pierce Law Center (J.D. 2000) and Colgate University (B.A., Art & Art History, 1994). While at Franklin Pierce, she was awarded the Best Oralist (Eastern Division) and the Second Oralist (National) prizes in the Saul Lefkowitz National Moot Court competition.
